Almost everything on House of JD is made after you order it, in the studio of the designer who drew it. That is why our timings read differently from a warehouse store, and why this page is worth reading before you buy rather than after.
Anywhere in India, to any address a courier will reach, including PO boxes served by India Post. We do not ship outside India yet.
A handful of pin codes are outside our courier partners' network. If yours is one of them, checkout will say so before you pay, and we will suggest the nearest address that does work.
| Order value | Delivery charge |
|---|---|
| ₹4,999 and above | Free |
| Below ₹4,999 | ₹149 |
The order value is the total of the pieces in your basket after any discount, before the delivery charge itself. The exact figure appears on the checkout page before you pay, so there is never a surprise at the end.
Pieces made to order leave the studio 10 to 15 working days after the order is confirmed, depending on the designer. Cutting, stitching and hand finishing take that long, and rushing them is how a piece comes out badly.
If a piece is ready to ship rather than made to order, the product page says so and it leaves faster. Working days mean Monday to Saturday, not counting public holidays.
House of JD books the courier for every order, whichever designer made the piece. If a designer cannot make or dispatch your piece in time, we cancel the order and return the full amount to the account you paid from.
Once the parcel is with the courier, expect 2 to 7 working days in transit. Metro cities sit at the short end of that. Smaller towns and the North East sit at the long end.
So for a made to order piece going to a metro address, a realistic total is about two and a half to three weeks from the day you pay.
The moment a parcel is handed to the courier you get an email with the courier's name and a tracking number. Tracking usually starts reporting within 24 hours of that email, so a blank screen on the first evening is normal.
If a tracking number has not moved for three working days, email info@houseofjd.in with your order number and we will chase the courier ourselves.
Please check the address and phone number before you pay. Couriers in India call before delivering, and a wrong number is the single most common reason a parcel comes back to us.
We can change an address only before dispatch. Email us as soon as you spot the mistake. After dispatch it is between you and the courier, though we will help where we can.
Couriers try three times. After that the parcel comes back to us. When it does, we will contact you and you can choose between a second attempt or store credit for the value of the pieces.
A second attempt costs ₹149 in courier charges, whatever the order was worth, because the first delivery has already been paid for.
If the outer packaging is torn or wet when the courier hands it over, refuse it and tell us the same day. If you only see the damage after opening, photograph the box and the piece before anything else and raise a request on the Refund and Return page within 48 hours. Photographs are what let us claim against the courier, which is what lets us put it right for you quickly.
Monsoon flooding, strikes, festival backlogs and local restrictions slow couriers down every year. We will keep you posted when it affects your order. If a parcel is genuinely lost in transit, we either remake the piece or return your money in full, whichever you prefer.
Not yet. India only, to any pin code our courier partners cover.
Free on orders of ₹4,999 and above. ₹149 on orders below that. The charge is shown at checkout before you pay.
Made to order pieces are dispatched 10 to 15 working days after the order is confirmed, the exact timeline is shown on each product page, then spend 2 to 7 working days with the courier. Roughly two and a half to three weeks in total for a metro address.
Yes, as long as the parcel has not been dispatched. Email info@houseofjd.in with your order number and the new address.
Yes, anywhere in India. When you choose Cash on Delivery at checkout we email you a six-digit code. Enter it and place the order, and the designer starts on your piece.
